Dr. Benjamin Ticho

Dr. Benjamin Ticho is a board-certified ophthalmologist who serves the communities of Southwest Chicago and Northwest Indiana. He is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at The University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he has trained dozens of ophthalmology residents and fellows and has been a principal investigator in some of the most important ophthalmic clinical research of the last two decades. Dr. Ticho is also the owner of Ticho Eye Associates, which has offices in Chicago Ridge, Tinley Park, and Munster, Illinois.

Dr. Ticho's main focus is on direct patient care, which includes the surgical treatment of cataracts, strabismus, and oculoplastic conditions. He believes in ensuring that patients are well informed, going above and beyond to explain findings and treatment options.

Dr. Ben Ticho has been practicing general and pediatric ophthalmology in the Chicago area for over 30 years. He is the lead physician at Ticho Eye Associates and has been featured in Top Doctor Chicago Magazine 2020 and 2021, as well as West Suburban Living magazine in 2014. He is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been re-certified three times. Dr. Ticho has taught hundreds of medical students across the country about the latest advances in ophthalmic care at conferences, symposia, and board review courses.
